Local AI was getting good fast, but using it well meant juggling models, scripts, and a lot of guesswork about which one to pick. We wanted an orchestration layer that did the picking for us: measured, transparent, and respectful of the local-first ethos that drew us to Ollama in the first place.
Why local-first
Because your prompts shouldn't have to leave your laptop for someone to read. Because the EU AI Act is going to get serious. Because vendor lock-in is a tax. And because, frankly, local models are now good enough for most of what we ask AI to do, once you know which one to ask.
Why the local engine is free
Orchestration is a coordination problem, not a moat. The value is in the capability map, the routing decisions, and the agents you build on top. So running Soriku on your own hardware costs nothing. We charge for the hosted side, where heavier models run online and teams work together, and you reach it from the same app you installed.

A small model we train ourselves, built to run on an ordinary laptop. It is measured on the same capability map as every other model, so Soriku only picks it where it scores.
I started Soriku because I wanted to use AI without handing over everything I work on. Every choice we make starts there, and if one ever doesn't, I want to hear it.
